Oran has been home for my entire life. I grew up here, walked the halls of Oran R-III as a student, and have now had the privilege of serving this district for more than two decades. Along the way, I've come to understand something that no job description could ever capture: this community doesn't just support its schools — it shapes the people who walk through their doors.

Hard work. Looking out for your neighbor. Taking genuine pride in your work. These aren't just values I admire from a distance; they're the principles this community raised me on, and they continue to guide how I lead today. I've said many times, and I'll say it again — there is no better place to serve than Oran R-III School District.

What sets this community apart is how it shows up. Whether we're celebrating a student's achievement, cheering on a team/club, or standing together through life's harder moments, Oran doesn't wait to be asked — it simply responds. I've witnessed this generosity firsthand, year after year. It's the kind of place where, whether you're at the minimart or the hardware store, people know you by name, and where our graduates still carry a lifelong connection to traditions like OIT and Barnwarming. That connection isn't accidental — it's the product of a community that has chosen, again and again, to invest in one another. That is Oran's defining strength.

At Oran R-III, we operate as an extension of the families we serve. Every decision we make starts with the same question: what's best for our kids? Our partnership with this community is what allows us to build a school environment where children feel genuinely valued, safe, supported, and inspired to grow.

Each year, our commitment remains the same — to build on what came before and make this year even stronger than the last. To every parent and community member who has stood behind our students and staff, thank you. Your support doesn't go unnoticed, and it's what makes this district exceptional.

Here's to making the 2026–27 school year our best one yet.

Proud Oran R-III Schools Superintendent,

Dr. Adam E. Friga
