Seventy Oran Elementary students earned an extra recess today as a reward for making their 4th Quarter AR goals.

Science has never tasted so good! 👩🔬🥞 Mrs. Daniel’s Chemistry classes visited the FACS lab today to study thermodynamics. By observing the Maillard reaction while making pancakes, students connected how heat affects chemical reactions using real-world culinary skills.

It's a critical week for MO public education as FY 2027 state budget is being finalized. Now is the time to engage your house representative and urge them to fund public education with reliable revenue sources. Our kids. Our schools. Our future. #moleg#OranEaglePride.

Huge congratulations to this outstanding young man, Fletcher Shoemaker! 🎶🏅
His hard work, dedication, and passion truly paid off. Earning a Gold rating at the MSHSAA State Musical Festival is no small achievement, and his exceptional performance is something to be incredibly proud of. He showed up, delivered, and shined!
Wishing this young man continued success this is just the beginning of many amazing accomplishments ahead!

STAR Testing Growth “Sip Sip Hooray” Party was a blast! 🎉
Our 1st grade students completed STAR testing three times this week to monitor their end-of-year progress. They took the STAR Early Literacy assessment (covering phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, print concepts, and early math), STAR Math, and STAR Reading (focused on comprehension, vocabulary, and text analysis).
We are so proud of the tremendous growth they’ve shown—it was definitely worth celebrating!

Student Council reward trip to St. Louis Aquarium and lunch at The Foundry. This wonderful group of students participated in many community service projects, concession stands, and hosted a dance for the junior high students. I could not have asked for a better group of kids and look forward to what the 26-27 school year brings for OHS Stuco!

Staff Spotlight, Mr. White
What inspired you to start teaching?
My mom was my teacher so I grew up around the school and the profession. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in college but I chose teaching because I had been around it for my entire life and I've never looked back since.
What do you love most about working with your students?
Seeing students grow throughout the years.
What's a fun fact your students might not know about you?
I do not like scary movies.
What's one word you'd use to describe my classroom?
If you ask the students, they'd say "cold."
If you could give your students one piece of advice to carry with them, what would it be?
Don't wish everything away. Enjoy each day one class at a time, it goes by quick.
