Elementary students were honored today during our fourth quarter awards assembly. We are so very proud of the students and all of their accomplishments.
First grade's fun countdown activity today was friendship bracelets! Students were able to create their own friendship bracelets using beads and ribbons.
1st grade's fun countdown activity was bubbles! Students were able to make bubbles on their desks using dish soap, water, and straws. Blowing bubbles is a fun way to learn how water and air work together. A bubble happens when a thin layer of soapy water traps some air inside, making a round shape because the soap pulls everything into a ball.
Sixty Oran R-III Elementary student enjoyed an extra recess as a reward for making their 4th Quarter AR Goal!

1st grade always does a "countdown to the end school" chain of activities. Today’s fun countdown activity was paper airplanes! Students were able to use STEM skills to create their own paper airplane and then measured to see which flew the furthest!

SEMO Drone Instructor presents at Oran Elementary Career Day. Elementary students were given an opportunity to see drones in action and talk about future careers with Andy Chronister and three students majoring in drones. Several students even got a chance to fly a commercial drone.
OHS Art and Band students spent the day painting pottery for their end of year field trip. Such a fun experience!
